The account of children being brought to Jesus for His blessing is recorded in all three Synoptic Gospels (Matt 19:13-15; Mk 10:13-16; Lk 18:15-17).
26th July 2008, on the feast of St.Annes Day, turned out to be a great day in the life of a little child of Doha…..Miss.Anisha Delvina Lobo.
Anisha a little cheerful child, just nine years old, is the eldest daughter of Alex and Dolly Lobo(Vittal,Puttur) now residing in Bondel,Mangalore.
Even though born with a slightly weak left hand, sheer will-power, determination and faith in the Good Lord, together with love and encouragement from all her choir-friends and a little guidance from the Choir-master Mr.Dony Lobo, on 26th July 2008, sprang a big surprise upon everyone by accompanying the children's choir for the 7 pm Mass at the new Church of Doha, playing an appropriate hymn on the organ as they sang "Thank You…for giving me this morning…."and joined the privileged group of few little children who can play the church organ (Yamaha keyboard) in Qatar.
She played it so perfectly that soon after the Mass many among the congregation joined her choirmates to "Congratulate" her and Fr.Andrew the main celebrant specially came to her, blessed and prayed over her.
Anisha who has a younger brother Austin,takes keen interest in extra curricular activities apart from his usual studies.
Anisha's father Alex is a very simple and humble man,unassuming and maintains low profile.Her mother Dolly is a outstanding throw ball player,plays for Konkan Stars Throw Ball Team,the Champions of 2007.
