Dear Friends,

Our Objective and Mission is �To support the poorest of the poor children by providing the basic education and their meals in our home land and also extending our support to the needy Mangalorean people in Qatar�. In order to accomplish this, a group of Konkani speaking people gathered together on 27th March 2008 and the Mangalore Cultural Association was born with the support of few Mangalorean mentors. Everyone present felt the need to continue to meet the challenge of unifying the Mangaloreans in Qatar under the umbrella of Mangalore Cultural Association to work for the noble cause. And we can be successful if each and every one of you support our efforts in putting into reality the vision for a strong and united Mangalore Cultural Association.

Our Association, just two months old needs financial assistance in order to carry out the aims and objectives. As the first step we have organized a Konkani Musical Show by Wilfy Rebimbus and his troupe, keeping in mind the Konkani culture as well. In addition to this we have put together this souvenir as an acknowledgement of the support of our sponsors. Proceeds from these events will be utilized to fulfill our objectives & mission.

I want to thank each and every one of you for your participation which has helped our Association stay strong. I take this opportunity to thank all our donors / sponsors. I do hope that we will be able to count on your help and support for our efforts in the future as well. We are aware that what we have done is just a small beginning, but I have no doubt that we will be able, in the future, to generate the kind of massive support from our community as we progress.

Together, let us continue in our journey to reach that milestone and celebrate the renewal of our continuing commitment towards providing the basic education to the poorest of the poor children in our home land. As Albert Einstein once said, �Only a life lived in the service to others is worth living.�
